Who Jon Clark is
Jon Clark's career spans the publisher side (Microsoft, in search account management), the agency side (Razorfish, as Director of SEO), and the brand side (NBCUniversal, as Director of Audience Development, where he led marketing for TV Everywhere).
In 2007 he founded PPC For Hire, a pay-per-click advertising and SEO consulting firm, which he grew and sold in 2013. He also founded Fuze SEO, a New York digital marketing consultancy, before becoming an equal partner in Moving Traffic Media.
Since May 2018, Clark has been Managing Partner and Chief Search Officer at Moving Traffic Media (MTM), a digital marketing agency he co-owns 50/50 with Joe DeVita. The LLC was established in 2014; the agency in its current, fully staffed form dates to the 2018 partnership between Clark and DeVita, which is why Clark is described as a co-founder.
Outside of work, Clark is the founder of Nomad Coffee Club, a coffee subscription company, and volunteers as a middle school baseball coach at Whitby School.

Who Jon Clark is not
- Not John Lee Clark, the DeafBlind poet, essayist, and Protactile advocate. Despite the near-identical name — Jon's middle name is Lee, and his Search Engine Journal author URL uses "john-lee-clark" — they are unrelated. Jon Clark is a marketer; John Lee Clark is a writer.
- Not the Jon Clark associated with Koro Capital or other venture capital investors of the same name.
- Not a "San Diego search marketing specialist" — an outdated bio described him that way; he is based in Stamford, Connecticut, and his agency is in White Plains, New York.
